Asda Storage Structure

Having previously provided a temporary store for Asda at their Minworth store, Field and Lawn were pleased to be approached by the construction contractors and Asda and invited to a look a the feasability of providing a temporary structure for an Asda store in Kent that was undergoing refurbishment.

Field and Lawn assisted in the design of a semi permanent structure for warehouse operations. THe design included bespoke elements such as 4.2m eave height, insulated sandwich side panels and an increased snow loading capaity on the roof. During late autumn / early winter Field and Lawn braved the worsening weather and constructed the new building.

The experience gained previously proved beneficial in terms of access times and generally working on such a high profile and sensitive site and as with all construction sites there were unexpected obstacles. The Asda operation had of course to continue unabated however thanks to the co-operation and co-ordination between the contractors, Asda and ourselves all ran smoothly and to deadline.
