A Summer of Stadiums
Thursday 29 June, 2017
Seeing your favourite music act performing live is always a great experience. Add a huge stadium full of fans and some glorious weather to the proceedings and you’ve got one incredibly special night! This summer, Field and Lawn has been delighted to be involved in not just one, but two of these high profile stadium gigs.
Over at the BT Murrayfield Stadium, Robbie Williams performed to a sellout crowd of over 57,000 fans, performing hits from his platinum-selling albums as well as songs from his latest album, ‘The Heavy Entertainment Show’. Field and Lawn provided over 1,000 sqm of tentage for a variety of uses including staff catering, laundry and first aid, as well as installing bar structures throughout.
Just two weeks on and it was time for the iconic Stone Roses to take to the stage at Hampden Park. Performing songs from their music career spanning over 3 decades, fans enjoyed an electric atmosphere at what has now been hinted as the final hurrah for the Mancunians. Field and Lawn provided spacious medical marquees at the gig - an essential for any stadium gig.
It’s always a joy for us to support these live acts and help to provide an atmosphere where fans can feel comfortable, looked after, and able to enjoy the show. Though our work at stadium gigs may be finished for Summer 2017, we’ll take our cue from Stone Roses frontman, Ian Brown - “don’t be sad that it’s over, be happy that it happened.”
