Field and Lawn Battle the April Weather!

Field & Lawn Marquees’ Manchester branch recently supplied around 4000 square metres of marquees in Wales for a prestigious festival. 25m and 30m wide structures were built in a seven day period and although the build ran extremely well, as soon as the event commenced, the heavens opened!

Although the structures performed well during the severe weather conditions a Field and Lawn site team was deployed to ensure that all the structures were safe for the event to continue without any disruption.

Wales wasn’t the only area finding itself with severe weather conditions though –the M62 linking Leeds and Manchester was particularly treacherous with snow. And whilst the Bristol branch was basking in mild spring weather, the Manchester branch was not alone in contending with the unpredictable side of the British weather. The Edinburgh depot had marquee crews working in shorts in a record high of 23 degrees C in March, followed 7 days later with crews reaching for the thermals and working in six inches of snow!
