November the 25th saw the opening of the ice rink in Edinburgh Princess Street Gardens. Field and Lawn marquees were a Major supplier to the event. Crucially supplying a levelled flooring system for the ice rink base, strong enough to support the 6 inches of ice but also hundreds of potential skaters in absolute safety.

The Opening night was a major success with perfect cold windless weather in Edinburgh to help create a real winter wonderland. The event runs until January the 4th 2011.

Opening on the weekend of the 26th November is the Ice Rink in George Square, Glasgow at which Field and Lawn Marquees have supplied the structures for the event. The "Glasgow Loves Christmas" event runs until the 30th December.
