It’s Kendal Calling!
Wednesday 25 October, 2017
When you imagine the Lake District, you maybe think of tranquil lakes and serene landscapes. However, the founders of the Kendal Calling Festival saw something a little different.
Taking place annually at the end of July, thousands of music fans have descended on Lowther Deer Park each year since the Kendal Calling Festival was set up in 2006.
Boasting 8 stages for the 25,000 visitors, the star-studded line-up for 2017 featured Stereophonics, Franz Ferdinand, Tinie Tempah and, a personal favourite of the Field and Lawn team, Seasick Steve.
The Kendal Calling Festival is another addition to our growing list of clients with festival structure requirements and this time, it was over to our Northern branch to journey to the picturesque town of Kendal to set up for the festival.
The team supplied over 7,500 sqm of temporary structures for the festival, and the result was a raging success. With the festival completely selling out, the structures were put to good use for all the services required including first aid, bars and tents for even more entertainment beyond the music stages.
Plans are already in place for Kendal Calling 2018 and we can’t wait to see what next year’s line-up will have to offer.
