Music and motors at CarFest South 2017
Monday 09 October, 2017
Taking place over the bank holiday weekend back in August, CarFest combines all the thrill of a spectacular car show with first class music, food and a variety of attractions for a fun weekend of entertainment suitable for all ages.
Run by BBC Children in Need, the annual festival is the brainchild of DJ Chris Evans whose love of music and cars makes for a truly unique event each year. The festival site at Laverstoke Park Farm saw various car events and demonstrations across the three days of the festival including the Hill Climb Track Show, Car Club displays, Vintage Village and Sporting Bears Dream Rides. Accompanied by music from the likes of the Manic Street Preachers, Seasick Steve, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Tom Odell, Busted & Rick Astley, there truly was something for everyone.
The Field and Lawn Bristol team made the short trip over to Hampshire to provide the necessary marquee structures and related items for the 2017 festival. With over 40 separate marquees being provided, the project required a 2 week build and the entire site was quite literally covered by Field and Lawn.
Marquee structures ranged from car paddocks to retail, back of house to catering, with tents also being required for visiting car manufacturers including Peugeot and Volvo.
