Nintendo Roadshow 2011

Following successful work in 2010 with Nintendo, Field and Lawn branches in Bristol, Edinburgh and Manchester were again called upon to provide structures for their new Nintendogs Game and for Pokemon.

The Nintendogs tour travelled the UK for five shows from April through to July; such was the success they are looking to extend this road show with a further four more pending for August and September. The contract was managed from Field and Lawn's Southern Office, based in Bristol and involved the Northern Region and the Scottish Regional Office for a contract in Edinburgh.

The temporary structures had to have custom fabricated PVC and were built upon a levelled steel sub-frame floor system. Field and Lawn Marquees were then able to work in conjunction with the set designers to run power under and up through the floor to reach specific points for the Nintendo games console. This took away any risk of cabling running over the floor and any unsightliness of cabling hanging from the ceiling.

With some of the tour dates being close together there were some close calls with tent build starting early in the morning and set designers come in behind us at 11am. However, good communication from all ensured all structures were a proven success.
