Field and Lawn’s newest addition to the Manchester team had an eventful first week despite extreme weather conditions severely affecting the whole of the UK recently. Project Manager, Helen Middleton joined the team and dived straight into a number of Field and Lawn projects.

First up, a trip to a cold and windy Astley Park in Chorley, the venue for the Chorley Flower Show. Building on the success of last year’s event, the Manchester team met members of Chorley Council’s events team on site to discuss extensions and additions to the various marquees required for the award-winning show.

After spending a full day in the office getting to grips with everything ‘Field & Lawn’, it was time for Helen to make the snowy journey down south for another site visit, and to attend the Event Production Show being held at Olympia in Kensington, London. This made for a day full of insights, not just into Field and Lawn, but into the industry as a whole.

Not to be deterred by the inclement weather, Helen then got their first taste of Field and Lawn’s growing city dressing division. Visiting Exeter to take a look at the Chinese New Year Celebration installations around the city centre, she also got the opportunity to meet with clients to discuss ideas and logistics for upcoming Spring/Easter installations.

A great introduction to the company, showing the variety of events and projects that Field & Lawn are involved in all year round. Glad to have you on board, Helen!
