Are you ready for a December election?

Here at Field and Lawn, we are no strangers to an election. We provide purpose-built temporary structures and marquees to Councils across the UK for polling stations and counting centres whether it be a general election, European election, local election or referendum.

Unlike the last general election which took place in June 2017, this election will be the first winter election for 45 years. Although Councils will have known a snap election was probable, the short notice nature of this election, coupled with the fact December is one of the busiest times of the year for communities across the country, means they have a particularly challenging job on their hands this time around.

Councils will be frantically reviewing their venue availability, looking at where they have located previous polling stations and counting centres in the hope they will have availability to accommodate the election on December 12th. With Christmas markets, nativity plays and other activities already filling up schools, village halls and community centres, they may need to think outside the box this year and that is where Field and Lawn can help!

As one of the UK’s largest structure and marquee hire providers, we are expertly placed to help provide a temporary venue for polling stations and counting centres. With bases across the UK in Edinburgh, Manchester, London and Bristol, we are uniquely positioned to mobilise our teams quickly and deliver for our clients. Our structures come fully heated and insulated ensuring a warm and comfortable environment for casting that important vote, or when the count begins.

Our structures are flexible and can be positioned in a variety of different locations whether that be public parks or open spaces, playgrounds or car parks. Structures can be installed close to December 12thand removed immediately after polling or completion of the count, ensuring minimal disruption to your local community.
