The prestigious Melrose 7s tournament was contested at the weekend and was a huge success both on and off the field for the Edinburgh branch of Field and Lawn.

Project manager, Robbie Kent was not only busy managing the installation and removal of the main hospitality structure for over 350 guests, but also played in the Edinburgh Accies team that contested the final against London Scottish!

The tournament has been played at the Greenyards since 1883 with the biggest names and teams in rugby travelling from all over the world to play.

It was a huge achievement for the Accies team to get to the final, knocking out the hosts Melrose as well as an Army team consisting mainly of semi-professional players from Fiji.

The hospitality numbers were the biggest they have been for many years proving the success of the tournament. And with a long term contract already secured, it marks a great success for the branch team.

Well done Edinburgh branch, well done Edinburgh Accies, and well done Robbie!
