Taking Health and Safety to the Next Level
Tuesday 24 April, 2018
Health and safety is at the heart of each one of Field and Lawn’s projects, underpinning every single piece of work undertaken by the team.
No matter the type of project whether it be constructing marquees, temporary structures, city dressing or Christmas lighting, we strive to provide the best quality service in the safest way possible. We are trusted to deliver and whether it be invited guests, the general public, or even the Field and Lawn team themselves, health and safety is always the number one priority.
We take this responsibility very seriously, and not just at a senior level. We ensure that every single team member is trained in health and safety. Just recently, members of our Manchester team attended the Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme course, a qualification that is nationally recognised within the construction industry and accredited by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB).
The two day course is designed for those with supervisory responsibilities, aiming to highlight the legal responsibilities when managing a site.
However, we believe everyone at Field and Lawn has a responsibility to contribute to maintaining a safe working environment and so all operational staff have been attending the course to ensure that they have the necessary skills to operate safely when installing equipment on any site.
The course covers topics such as H&S law, conducting risk assessments, producing method statements and effectively carrying out site inductions and toolbox talks. It also outlines and promotes the need for proactive and reactive monitoring to ensure the site remains safe for everyone.
We are committed to providing a quality service and believe that maintaining high standards of health and safety is vital in being able to deliver this level of service to all our customers. And now you know you’ll be in safe hands with the Field and Lawn team, get in touch with your nearest branch to find out more about our services or make an enquiry below.
